reference books
anyone have any good reference / guide books you no longer need because you have already mastered the business and would not mind passing it on for a lil $ . This newbie would really appreciate it Thanks.

Juanita, there is a book available thru NNA called the "Complete Handbook of Loan Doc's and Transactions". This gives you each typical type of loan doc's you will be seeing &&& identifies which doc's in each pkt needs ack's, jurats, etc by example. Cost: About $50.00. Doubt you can get it any cheaper, but best investment for beginners.

My strong recommendation is to use the training guide from Signing Registry. http://www.signingregistry.com/index.cfm
It is excellent.

Re: reference books...why not google it..
try this...google occupancy affidavit and see what you get. You'd be amazed at what you can discover on your own with a little effort. Google mortgage document, 2nd mortgage, right to cancel, promissory note etc etc etc and you can get copies to download in pdf. Give a newbie a fish, and it stinks...teach him to fish and if he doesn't drown, he may actually learn something !

Re: reference books...why not google it..
The SR book is good and if you want to find more, go to #33325 and use that list of documents to google up....PA's right about that.

Re: reference books...why not google it..
I don't like fish so you can have it back I hope you don't choke on it .to eveyone else thank you I just ordered my copy of the SR book it is a bit$$$ so I was just investigating the possibility of a good 2nd hand book at a discounted price which is what I believe any capable resourceful person would do .I have googled and searched alot of topics in the last couple of months I have learned alot ,However I do not feel I am ready to run out and preform any signings anytime soon for fear up messing it up by not being infomed of at the very least the basics so if you think my inquiring about a book is lack of effort excuse me when I disagree ana say no amount of experience replaces common sense and common sense is a gift no one else can give you.

Re: reference books - Good advice Dave
The SR Training Guide is the best training guide on the market! It blows the others out of the water. And I doubt you will find anyone willing to part with their copy.
It is a good investment in your signing agent business (and tax deductible!)

Another book
I invested in when I started out as an SA besides the Signing Registry book is at justpointandsign.net (contrary to the title it does not encourage to " just point and have them sign" .
I purchased the package, it's not cheap but both the SR and Just point and sign helped me alot, and now I'll be lending them to my brother ( if he decides he wants to pursue this career he can buy his own SR guide).
I also googled alot.
