Account may be DELETED
I'm having a hard time understanding this whole issue. My account was last updated 7 months ago and all is current, no changes blah blah blah.
Then I receive an email to update or account will be deleted, ok, I check and all is current. Then I receive a fax stating that email attempts to contact me have failed (my email has an autoresponder). So, I go back in again, make a minor change and click "update". Now I get an error message saying my forum name is already in use and updates cannot be completed until I chage my forum name. Why? I sent an email, this was like three weeks ago, asking why if everything is current and my forum username is ME do I keep getting told account will be deleted November 30th.
Today I get a snail mail letter stating the same thing. Update account or it will be deleted on November 30th. Why can't the profile page just have a button that acknowledges that all information is current and up-to-date?

Because the update button comes back and says my forum name is already in use, account NOT updated, change forum name.
Now I can't even find where to change my forum name to try and get around this issue altogether. But - I don't want to change my forum name anyway.

I am having the same problem. It says my business name is to complicated, and will not accept my update. Well, that's the name. The system accepted the name the first time ,and now it's to complicated?

At the bottom of the page there is "Contact Us" in blue letters, why don't you send Harry (owner of Notary Rotary) a note with your questions.
I know Harry is just trying to clear out profiles that are not being used any longer.

Your changes have not been saved. Please correct this error and then resubmit.

You are logged in right now. Go to "My Profile" (at the top of the page), click on it, then scroll down to maybe the middle of the page -- you should see Forum Alias. What does it say for your Forum Alias?
Always remember to click on "Update" even if you didn't change anything.

Forum alias is TRG_wy Tried changing it to my real (full name) name but get the same error message I noted above.
It just doesn't like me I guess.

Did you click
Did you click "Update" at the bottom of your profile page? Because, when I went in to look at your profile, it says that the last update was on 4/20/2006. I would keep trying to contact Harry at the -- "Contact Us", at the bottom of this page.

Yes, several times and I just keep getting that same error message. I'm ready to change my forum alias but can't find it now. Been reading FAQs and nothing works.

I don't see one - try your name without the hyphen or "_" see if that works

That happened to me also. I was getting the same message. So I tried different things. I erased different things and put in the same info. Then I erased my email address and put in the same one and it worked. It was OK after that. I think there's a glitch in the program somehow. Let us know if that works.

Got an email from Harry stating it was probably a db error since I changes my account login and it got confused between the two "users" and he was looking into it for me.
VERY happy to report that he got it corrected and I am "un-deleted". Thank you very much Harry !!!
