Charm
I forgot to tell you that joke! Call me if you get a second... it's gotta be told over the phone or it's just not as funny

Re: Charm, she called and told me the joke...
it's a good one and very pertinent for us southern women. Very nice.

Lisa, if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's one of my favorites to tell. At my mother's funeral, Father Bob told the story of her perfectly civil replies to perfectly inane remarks, "How lovely...", and how one didn't want to be on the receiving end of that response. Thanks.

Susan, it is the same one...
and like your mother, my children KNOW that they don't want to be on the receiving end of mama's syrupy "how nice" response. When they hear me say it to the rude store clerk or the snippy waitress, they giggle incessantly. Don't get me wrong... I am also quite capable of forgetting my etiquette lessons and letting the other response fly! ;-)

Laughing. And the *look* over the glasses. Mother was a Scorpio, and boy, could that tail come our of nowhere.

What are you talking about Lisa???
Today, I am Queen Sybil, the King of Heart's second wife.
Off with your head!

The Sybil reference...
was made because Sue couldn't seem to decide if she's Sue or if she's Anon. You know the conversation she's having with herself? It's probably something like "I'm confused and so am I" LOL Just ribbing Sue, of course. She's a gem If you're asking about the "how nice" statement, well... you're just gonna have to pick up the phone and call me. I'll fill you in (can't email it... it's not the same.... it's all in the verbal delivery!)
