Computer Help PLEASE!!!

I've heard of the dreaded blue screen and it actually happened to me. I called Dell and they said their live updates crashed a bunch of computers Sunday and Monday. I had to re-install windows xp, but now the folders and fonts are really distorted looking and blurry. Also I can't locate the drivers to re-install my DSL! Any techies reading that may be able to help me????

Bad news and good advice...

Hope this doesn't sound harsh, and I know money doesn't grow on trees...

I was a techie, paid techie, in my former life and that is EXACTLY THE KIND OF HELP I REFUSED TO GIVE LONG DISTANCE. There are so many variables, and if I say ping but you do pong, it can go south...

The bad news is you can't fix that over the phone... the good advice would be to let go of the money and take it to a local dude that know what he's doing and has it in front of him.

Really... we depend on our puters, $1XX will be cheap in the long run.

Mine BS'd a month ago. Took it to my local tech and saved most of my data. Cost me around $70, but, I've been a long time customer.
