First E-notarization in PA

In message #160208 PA Notary Talk informed us of the first E-notarization in Pennsylvania. That deed has since been recorded and is available at http://icris.lancasterdeeds.com/icris/Login.jsp

You will have to register (it's free). When you get to the iCRIS Record Search page, search for instrument #5572039. It's interesting to note the version you can view on-line is just a PDF file with no digital signatures. If the county recorder kept the digital signatures, he didn't keep them where they can be seen from the Internet.

I see all the digital signatures. That is pretty awesome.

I see images of signatures, which were probably captured with an electronic signature pad. I see no digital signatures that use public key cryptography, which I believe was used at the time the document was signed. So I believe the public key cryptography was removed before the images were put on the website.
