Kensington Title in New York is past due in payment to me. I know there were some posts about them last month - did anyone get paid?

Not me. They owe me $450 since June 2006. I filed a complaint with the NYS Land Title Association but have never heard from them on my complaint.

Oh, friggin great, DonR_NYC! I've been doing jobs for them through a SS for a year now...and guess what? They called me direct last week, paid my fine fee and now I have to worry about getting paid? WTF is up with that? Title companies in Florida must adhere to certain standards. Is this not the case in NY? Maybe this is why the SS is no longer booking jobs for them. Who's to know? I'll let you all know shortly.
Why is it the TCs and Attys are becoming scumbags lately? Is it just me?
Names will be posted if no $$$ is received soon.
Sham on you long-payers and non-payers.

I did one for them in September. When I did not receive my payment (I was told they pay in 30 days when I accepted the closing) I called and spoke to a "Paul" He would not give me his last name but told me to fax a copy of the invoice and I did receive my check a few days later. Good luck!

As I was saying.
What about a website where we can post all and every no-pay. Their name would not come off the site until the notary is paid in full. There is safety in numbers (our numbers are great.) This just a thought and it keeps popping into my head everytime I see all these NO-PAYS.

Re: As I was saying.
There is a ""one stop" web site for deadbeat companies" place where you can complain about these types of non paying agencies. Also, you can find out who's reputable and who's not. Here's the link: http://notarybeware.com/ I hope this helps you. They did help me out a whilst ago. Best of luck to you. Rum

Re: Rum this person advertised I think last year sometime
or maybe the year before, even though ten bucks is not a lot of loot something about the fee disturbed me. I'm quite tired of these businesses inventing ways to make more money off notaries........I guess I'd rather go after the business myself as stressful as even that becomes.....I'm not willing to hand over even ten buckaroos to one more person in the notary business then I absolutely have to. I just renewed my membership with them
and I think it's the best $10 I've spent. Not taking anything away from this site as I consider NotRot my home BUT they have a 26 page signing company/Title company list and the membership faithfully posts their comments to that list. In 15 months I have never had a no pay and only one extremely slow pay (hello Chris, still waiting here). I check each company I deal with against that list and I think that's why I can knock on wood here. I refer to the list here seldom because the "star system" doesn't really give me the full picture.
