Know your state laws

I went to a closing the other night for a borrower who was also a "notarer". She told me she had been doing closings for about two years. No printer, so ON docs only.
While I was there, she asked me if I was performing marriages. (We cannot in our state).
I asked her if she had a Michigan primer, and she didn't even know what it was.
It is scary to think companies are hiring people to do closings when they don't even know the laws of the State.
JMHO.. if you don't know what you're doing, DON'T do it!

I think 99% of them could care less about the laws, they just want the big bucks that was promised to them form you know who.
