LSI and fees re-visted.

I just got off the phone with vendor management at LSI. They claim that they have tons of notaries working for 10-15 per set of edocs and signing fees less than 75.00 per loan. I hope to god this is not true. I requested that they take me out of their data base. I REFUSE to let a company that grossed over 4 to 5 billon dollars last year use me to make themselves rich. Thjey claim that those notaries are buying paper and toner in in bulk to be able to offer them such savings...what a crock if xxit.

LSI used to be my bread + butter.

But for last 2 yrs they r refocusing their work:
*sending docs to brwrs + telling tehm to find a notary
*using a new POA so that brwrs can do everything by phone and have LO sign docs as POA
LOs and brwrs view does @ same time on web.

Is that scary or what?

LSI aka Fidelity is HUGE HUGE HUGE nationwide. This is a trend. Heads up everyone.

Only time LSI calls me is if brwr doesn't go for POA nonsense. Good for him. I wouldn't give carte blanche to an atty/lo either.

Sadly, it is true. I've gotten quote as low as $75 for a double and $100 to drive 80 miles one way. Those were from notaries who claimed they have years of experience in escrow/lending. I have to tell them that I'm also a notary, and that I'd give them what I normally charge in those situation, which is 2x as much.

LSI tried to recruit me many times. I just say the he11 with their 15 pages application/contract everytime I open my email. Glad I didn't miss anything.

Re: LSI West vs LSI East

I'm assuming the low fee problem is with LSI West; I've never had a problem getting my fees with the East office.

I keep hearing that Roger, can there be that much

difference between two branches of the same company. I just find it surprising. I know that I won't work for LSI, I guess it must be West, but everytime I get called by LSI it is a ridiculously low fee. I keep asking them not to waste my time but they keep doing it.

Re: LSI West vs LSI East

LSI West took over for all of LSI, North and East. The west office now controls all of vendor management. They are making drastic changes. LSI East was paying me on average 150.00 per closing, 225.00 for a first and second with edocs. I have worked for them for over 4 years. I was told I had to cut my fee down to less than 75.00 or so per closing and about 15.00 for edocs or I would not get any work. I told them today to take me out of there database. I am done. They lost a good agent today. The newbies can have it.

West sets all fees? Say it isn't so!

If true, there goes another TC I will work for.
