Lender Affidavit of Intent
I am going to do a notary tonight and am reading over the documents first so I know what I am notarizing. This is a FHA loan, and in the docs, there is a Lender Affidavit of Intent, but nowhere on the document does it have a place for the borrower to sign. Do I still notarize the document?

If the borrower's do not sign the document you have nothing to notarize. Let me guess, are you from the NNA signing agent graduating class of November, 2006?

in me for saying this and being unladylike, but judging from your husband's picture...I'd like to at least consider, maybe, possibly, thinking about...really just dreaming about doing a notary's husband...
Beverly's got the cutest husband I have ever SEEN.

Re: Who? US? Lol! :)
If "I am going to do a notary" means going to do a notarization job
...then...
"I am going to do a plummer" means going to unclog a drain. "I am going to do a mechanic" means going to do something like a brake job. "I am going to do a chef" means going to cook or prepare food. "I am going to do a teacher" means teaching a class. "I am going to do an architect" means drawing a building.
It makes no sense to say it like that. None whatsoever.
BTW - I just did a poster...that means I wrote something on this board.

Only if you're into "doing" that sort of thing.

Do I still notarize the document?
Betty, what's the purpose of a notarization? Isn't it to witness or attest to a signature? Honestly, I'm not trying to be mean, but to ask if you notarize a document that doesn't have a signature shows that you're on page one of the "how to be a notary handbook." Fine, we were all there. But you're not anywhere NEAR ready to start handling important loan docs.
I'm off to do a dentist (brush my teeth), do a veterinarian (feed my cat), and do a herdsman (count some sheep). Good Night.

Yeah, what he said...
And in case anyone didn't get it after all of the above, the correct grammar would be to "do a notarization". This happens to be a pet peeve of many of us, obviously! ;>
