New So. Cal. Signing Agent offering backup

I am a relatively new signing agent in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. I have been personally mentored and well trained by a 14 year veteran Signing Agent, who also happens to be a Certified Notary instructor. She has accompanied me on several signings to insure accuracy and professionalism. She has trained me in the finer points that some have learned the hard way, such as respecting boundaries by not leaving my card with someone else's client, or subverting their established business relationships. I would like to offer my services to other local agents who may have need for an occasional emergency backup. As I work for myself, I am very flexible with distance and timing. I'd really appreciate additional ideas for marketing my business that anyone is willing to share. Thanks much!!

You might want to start by filling out your profile here a little bit more. Maybe put in your comments section the training that you have, what county you are located in or counties you service, memberships etc.

Just an idea.

Favnotary, Re: Marketing Tools

Now that your profile is updated, I recommend that you also create a website.

Secondly, if you haven't already done so, to order business cards.
Vista Prints (Http:///www.vistaprints.com) is a popular company
among the various notary boards.

However, my favorite is: Http://www.Overnightprints.com.

Here are additional websites, which may also help you:

http://www.pens.com

Also, checkout the various "big named", real estate companies in your area
(i.e. Bellflower, Lakewood, Norwalk, Cerritos, Artesia, Downey, Long Beach etc. . .)
They usually have free weekly classes on marketing (taught by the various
mortgage and title company professionals) and have great information .

Hi Pam,

It's been awhile for me and am just now reviewing some older posts. Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your kind suggestions. Hope all is going well for you. :-)
