If you know the location and name of the *.exe file you can try open up the windows task manager and disable (end process) it under the "processes" tab. Besure to always unplug/disconnect your internet connection when trying to quarantine a virus/adware.

Often the virus *exe file won't let you manually delete it as it's roaming in the back ground. As long as you know where it's hidden, you can use your virus software to specifically scan and destroy it. Norton/Symatec has free system scan at their site you can try rather than installing free softwares as sometimes they only cover the basic and may not have the latest virus definitions.

THX! I ran that virus check and my system shows clean... so i guess the cd door is a residual and I will unplug it and see if later on i can reinstall it....

i am soooooooooooooooo **$#(&* sick of these jerks and their viruses ... They turn around and hire out to find the fix after they plant it as they know what is needed and they ruin computers and make lots of $$$ also....
