OT/Arrested: the prime murder suspect of 5 firefighters

I'm so glad, and I suspect that with all the agencies involved, the evidence will conclude they got the right one. Innocent until proven guilty, of course.....however, this guy has priors....a lot of priors. A real dreamboat: ex-wife stalker and abuser, convicted of prior arson, petty theft, etc. Very sad that such fine people (make that Hero's - risking their lives to save others lives and their property) ended their promising young lives so early as a result of a loser with nothing other than this to show for his life. Tragic and pathetic - wrong, all the way around.

His arrest and/or conviction can't return Fathers to their Sons or Husbands to their Wives, or Sons to their Mothers, but hopefully, justice can be done. In this case? I'm quite happy California has the death penalty. So damn appropriate.

The only problem with CA's death penalty is

the 20 years of appeals they get to make. No I didn't move to TX because we execute quicker, but I'd like to see CA follow the TX example. If this guy is guilty I do think murder convictions and the death penalty are totally appropriate regardless of how long it takes to carry out the sentance.

Re: I do hope this is the right person, I was listening to

Ken and John yesterday who had a guest on that had attempted a few years ago to pass a bill that would create a law that all arsonists would be listed so when one moves into your area you know.....and could be on alert. I do hope Riverside County DA has all their ducks lines up.....and puts the guilty SOB DOWN.......

Re: I do hope this is the right person, I was listening to

I miss John and Ken, they were great. I'm almost tempted to just listen to them online. Was there ever a count on how many toilet brushes Villaragosa recieved?

The fires hit close to home for me Sue. I grew up in Riverside and only spent the last couple years in the desert. Almost every year somebody set a fire at the field in the river bottom. As a hair dresser I had a few clients that were firefighters many of which had their pictures in the paper at various times putting the stinking river bottom fires out. One client was a gal that was a forest fire fighter. Now that girl had my respect. In fact my sis was a firefighter but that was years ago in the service out of state.
