OT - Junk mail

When you get junk mail in your email does it work to click unsubscribe or does that make it worse?

It works, but usually only for a short period of time. They'll change their address just enough to resend.

If you haven't already, change the security setting on you're e-mail to a hight setting.

Aside from that, I usually clear it out about once a month ("unsubscribe"Wink anyway.

I feel your pain.

It lets them know they have reached a valid e-mail address!

I always foward them complete with headers to [e-mail address] and to the spam dept of my ISP

Don't click to unsubscribe or respond in any way

I concur with Sylvia on the reason not to. Simply delete, or forward to your spam dept. Even if they don't re-spam you, they may sell your address to everyone else that will, since they have determined it to be a "good" address.
