OT ... Thought for the night...
The previous days posts have not only provided the usual comic relief, but also some insight into a couple groupings, classes, phylums...or whatever name you may deem for classifications of people.
First we have the;
"I'm a Skunk and I believe everyone else is to ignorant to catch wind of me" class.
This species seems to be giving way to the evolution ( faster than Darwin could conceive ) of a subclass that I will aptly name "I'm a Skunk, but I'm here to inform every non-skunk just how much they foul the air".
Now any astute observer of nature will quickly realize that they are just "We Emulate Skunks Until Caught" ( i.e.... WESUC )
The second group is of course, those whom soothe their ego, or possibly gain a more sardonic benefit, by exposing the "...Skunks..." in some free form fashion. Often this group is quite justified. This class I will name; "Positive Informational Skunk Stickers of Free Form" ( i.e....PISSOFF)
Sadly there is a third group. The remorse is due to the realization that I myself have displayed characteristics of this group. This is the group that pokes the Skunk even though it hasn't sprayed. It is just the blatent fact that it/he/she is a Skunk, or the quest for humor, that makes us want to poke at them. This group is simply named; " Skunk Pokers"
Now there is no help for "WESUC", and only the inherent, somewhat enjoyable, therapy to be gained by the responding PISSOFF. There is however help for the "Skunk Pokers". On this note, I resign my thoughts for the night and head for the SPA...

Charm, I think you should look at her post in this very thread and ask what was her agenda? I think you should remove the bias of friendship and look at a lot of her posts about me and about others and ask what her agenda was when she posted.
For instance, the post in MSG #127110 titled "OT: The two young men we lost - very politically incorrect" about the soldiers that were killed and beheaded by the insurgents in Iraq earlier this year where she fully admitted her comments were racist. What was her agenda then? My first post in that thread was in support of the troops but not the mission. After that, I get the hell beat out of me.
What about her posted comments about Louisiana and Katrina where in MSG# 141991 where she'd rather watch Springer than empathize? Where was the outcry condemning her for that? What about her post in msg #144008 where she asked only "True Americans" to listen to Bush's speech, say the pledge and buy the book Flags of our Fathers? What was her agenda then? What about the thread she she started with MSG #138828 titled "Dear Jihad Jahari(and OT for the innocent)?" Again, what was her agenda? No one jumped on her about posting about politics or religion, yet when I posted about Al Gore's movie, question why a motherboard for a Diebold E-voting machine is doing on Ebay, a report about DHS allocation of funds to a petting zoo and a popcorn stand instead of New York City (Statue of Liberty, Empire State), remembering 9/11 and sharing 9/11 stories, and even here recently with my Get out The Vote post where I shared information everyone could use in case they have problems voting, I get slammed and bashed for it by she and Calinotary because they felt I posted about politics and religion when there was nothing about politics or religion in those posts.
Charm, I'm not saying you should stop being her friend. You two can be Bea Arthur and Rue Mclanahan all you want but can you be friend enough to check her when and if she's wrong? Would you stop her from kicking or shooting someone because she's your friend? First of all...if there is an inner elite NR Club, I want to join. That dang Harry and sly Tracey won't answer my gripes about my pet peeves any faster than they will answer another premium member (paying member). It's not like there are many of us who actually post here live in Iowa so they can party with the NR owners regularly. Are they flying some of them in? Who? Where's the ticket line?

Harry's place and the hypocracy of the double standard
Brenda, I acknowledge that this is Harry's place. My point in all of this is, if a gang of users is going to slam me/others and label their posts as "political" when they clearly are not. Then members of the gang should be condemned equally because of their political posts if they create a political. I honestly feel like the there is a sign on the door of this room that says "Liberal Progressive Posts Unwanted!" and that those that are Conservative posts and posters have free reign over the forum and are free from condemnation. Quite frankly I'd prefer no one condemn anyone but if you attack someone, that person has the full right to respond and likely will respond.
My "Who's House?" post was posted out of pure jubilation and excitement because of the elections and honestly, I did not think of the fallout that could ensure from it. Tuesday night was like the Super Bowl for me. My team won and I was celebrating. Had my team lost, you know there would have been numerous posts from certain users taking shots at "Jihad Jahari", "JJ" and "JJBTM" because of it. My question is, would they have been condemned for their posts, as I have for mine?
