OT: thanks for the calls
guys. We had a school bus from Lee HS that avoided another car on the entrance ramp to I- 565. Just up the road from us. Unfortunately it went over the side and nose dived thirty feet down onto Church street. Two fatalities and about 23 kids in the hospital, four critical. All kinds of injuries from lacerations to broken bones. They were on their way from the school to the tech center. It's contolled chaos now, and I don't know anyone that was involved. Send your prayers for the kids and their families. Thanks again

Gosh, I am tearing up as I ready this. Of course my thoughts and prayers are with all of those involved and in the community. Such young lives taken away. I will never understand something like this. Be well.

Our prayers are with the kids and thier families. What a horrible thing to happen! I don't understand why drivers anymore do stupid stunts around school buses! Friday my 8 & 10 yr old were on the bus home from school when some IDIOT flipped a U-Turn in front of the bus causing the bus driver to hit the brakes and swerve, then the dumb a** driver flipped the bus off and took off. Had to call our volunteer fire dept, 3 ambulances and the cops, had 1 child with head injuries, one with a severly injured back, (at first they thought she had broke her back), and several with minor injuries and possible concussion. I wanted to hunt the driver of the car down and strangle him, and I'm NOT normally a violent person! God bless the kids that were involved in the accident near you!

thanks guys...
It is so sad around here today, prayer vigils everywhere, churchs opening, parents confused, some don't even know yet and kids that have no ids can't notify parents. Parents showing up at the hospital, not knowing what happened, only to get a cell call that their kid drove with someone and was fine. The whole town is devastated, even my favorite news reporter kept losing it as he was in shock. CNN got ahold of it and family and friends are calling all day. I can't keep the tears in...one of the girls that died at the scene lived thru a brutal experience, she was shot in the face 2 yrs ago by her boyfriend and fought to live, went back to school, rehabilitated herself and was 19 with child. gone. Speculation has it that another student that was driving cut the bus off in an effort to 'race' to the tech center. Not confirmed yet.
