Petpeeve Re: Telephone Numbers!
I also do public notarizations in addition to loan signings. The past few days I've had a cold and laryngitis.
A potential customer telephoned me for a public notarization. Because I was sick, I went to Notary Rotary to find notaries in her area.
To my surprise, the ones which were close to her home, DID NOT have their telephone numbers listed! They had "available upon request" or "Nothing on file" (even though some of their profiles had been recently updated).
She asked me: Why even bother to have a notary business, if they aren't going to have their telephone number listed ?
Good Question!
She decided to wait and let me do the notarization this weekend.

Pam, You have no idea how many times I have needed a signing agent (I have a signing service) only to see the same thing in listings in the areas I need a signing agent. Needless to say, I call the ones who have all their info listed.

Sylvia,
This was a first for me and embarassing!
I do not understand why anyone would want to have a profile (to advertise for business), yet not list their telephone number. Very poor business practice (and just plain silly).
And these were both Premier and Basic members!
But on the otherhand, it was good for me ("smile" .

Hobbyist vs Professional
Pam and some of them don't even have an email address or physical address. If they're that peronoid (sp) they really don't have a place in this or any other business. Like I said Hobbyist vs the Professional. The same can be said for those that have absolutely NOTHING in their profile. As a customer, why would I ever call them? Remember, the more you tell, the more you sell!

LkArrowhd,
I agree 100 percent. Customers are not mind readers. In my opinion, these people do not have good sense!

I have run into this problem also Pam. What the h**l is the point of creating a profile for business purposes, if you are not going to list the most basic information about yourself and your business. I have had title companies call me for work because a notary that was closer did not have anything in their profile.
