Bonnie "Tumbling Tumbleweeds"
We used to have tumbleweed Storms up here before all the construction. When I first moved here I was scared to death of them they looked like a herd of buffs coming at you. lol Between that and waiting for herds of deer and antelope to cross Woodmen road on my way to work. It was like stepping back in time. But what beautiful way to start your day. The North end was just the lone prairie , wide open spaces with horse and cattle ranches. Tumbleweeds and lots of dust storms. Oop's almost forgot my fav's the great American Prairie Dog , bark bark and bark some more. They are almost all gone now driven out by MacMansions, housing projects and shopping centers. YUCK! It's hard to believe how things can change in 20 years. It's hard for us "country folks" to get used to. But time marches on. We're just lucky that we live on acreage and in my case a dead-end road (discourages the city folks) from prowling all over the place. lol So enjoy those tumbleweeds and the wild critters while we can (The land grabbers) are breathing down our throats. Then no more critters, tumbleweeds blocking the roads and just the really beautifull things that nature has to offer us. Replaced by bumper to bumper traffic, people rushing to no-where, and a whole lot of people that will never experience what we have. Sad sad sad!
You have a great day Bonnie! Enjoy!

Re: Bonnie "Tumbling Tumbleweeds"
I know what you mean! When we moved here there were only 5 houses ( including ours) for as far as we could see, in any direction. Now you can't turn around without looking in someone's window! I keep looking at homes in Rye, Colorado City etc. but the rugrats have a cow when anyone mentions moving so I guess we'll stay till they get out of school! Have a good one!
