Thinking I "Dodged a Bullet" . . .
Kind of a wierd situation. I got a call from an Eric at "DSI" scheduling an appointment for Wed. We went over the particulars, negotiated a price and he said he would follow up w/a confirmation via e-mail. So far, so good . . . right?
Well, I get the e-mail and the company is actuallY DCI NOT DSI. To make matters worse I finally get through to the BO and he has NO IDEA what I'm talking about.
I re-searched here for DCI (because of course nothing came up for DSI) and found some "not so nice" comments in regards to them. So I call up to speak with "Eric" and I got a, at first, confused woman on the phone who finally said "Oh, he'll be in later this AM". I thought maybe I got the name wrong or something. She seemed a little rude when she asked me "Why can't you speak with me?" but OK, I explained the situation and after a BAD FEELING I cancelled the job.
I'm not looking to burn bridges, but it just seem a little too odd. She didn't even seem to know who I was talking about when I asked for "Eric" and didn't answer the phone with a company name or company greeting.
I'm thinking I may have dodged a bullet here.
