3. Leave your phone sitting somewhere other then right next to you
4. Cut your lawn, blow dry your hair, or do anything that makes it difficult to hear your phone
5. Make lunch or dinner plans with friends, you will get appointments for that same time
6. Buy tickets to a concert or sporting event, you'll get offered 8 signings for that night
7. Promise your kids you'll be at their recital, play, or sporting event. That company you've been trying to work with for months will call you and offer you any amount of money you want for that same evening.

argh! I'm going through No. 7 right now~my son's football team made it to the playoffs and their first game is tonite, of course I have a signing tonite... I should be there with about 5 minutes to spare (I'm hoping!!!)

Now, think the title company will be okay with me wearing my "spirit mom" gear and my face painted black & silver for the signing? I didn't think so either....

My obviously ingrateful daughter went into labor April 27th, and THEN had the audacity to drag out this little drama of her's until the next day, thereby rendering me completely brain-dead through the 29th. Talk about being over the proverbial barrel - most expensive 3 days of my life.

(Priceless, though!)

2nd most expensive thing I've ever done - agree to take someone to the airport! Last time my sister tried this on me, I finally said "Here's $50 - call a Metro Car, it's cheaper for me!"
