What a long night-without fruitful result

I was given an assignment last night by CPS Capital, located on top of Oakland hills. I arrive and the couple was friendly and pleasant but the husband keep asking what is each of the fee meant and why does he have to pay for fees for brokers, to brokers broker, ect. And why is the rate so high, of course I referred him to call his brokers, and they spend 30mins arguing about the rate. So, I offer to review his Lic and wife’s before we start, and as always wife has a middle name and is not on the doc, I call the SS left a VM let them know that we can’t continue the signing due to name does not match. No one call me back until this AM and stated will, the wife is not the borrower just the husband. (why in the world is the wife listed as a co-borrower?!!) but before this Am I was stuck with the borrower for 3hours due to he would not let me leave, kept calling the broker and insisting she change the information and the rate of doc, he sign part of the Doc and started crossing out items he “does not wish to pay for” ….long story short this battle went on and on. I just grab all my stuff and inched my way out the door…

Lastly I am billing CPS capitol for full fee just because I had to deal with borrowers and broker for 3 hours.

thanks for letting me vent

Unless I mis-understood. Which is very possible...

Why would you halt the signing?

Notary By Cony...

I'm curious about how you present the docs.. Sometimes the steps you take and the order of the presentation of the docs can make a big difference. Especially with borrowers who may not have been well informed by their LO/Broker.

Additionally it's a very good idea IMO to ID the signers before presenting any docs...

BTW: It's okay if the docs don't include her middle name... The trouble would come from the docs including her middle name and the ID not including it...
