Franny, go the the orange search button. You will find hundreds of conversations about this subject. Type in keywords like CBC or background check, etc.
Not all title companies are requiring it. You need to read up on this before you make a decision.
I just got an e-mail from a company that I'm obviously signed up with, but never called me, stating they need this. You'll get a lot of education if you search. Also click on this web site above to read the special announcement on background check certification.

If any New Jersey Notary has any title company requiring bc plesae post thei company name.
I would like to pass it along to the State AG.

Some people may be hesitant to post title co names, especially if they are good clients (and I wouldn't blame them). If you would be willing to post your email address (leaving out the punctuation - or spelling it out - for anti-spam reasons), you might get a better response. Just a thought...
