just got back from Staples....

had to replenish my paper supply and I picked up some blue ink pens. If I may, I am recommending the 4 paks of BIC Pro+ ball pen and the 4 pak papermate profile, 1.4 extra smooth. I always carry pens to signings so that we all have the same color. It seems 99% of the signing require blue ink. Both these pens have a nice round cushion base that makes it easier to hold.
As an extra, I got to see some beautiful colors on the tress, I can't wait to take that hour long drive later to a signing just to observe nature!

LOL! nothing to compare with the yellows, reds and purples Smile It's so pretty, but soon, that'll all be gone too! I told the 4 year old to watch it, Santa is really watching now. I'll report as to whether this works or not, my guess, no.

Although, after thinking on it

It would be worth the price to send you out some booze, as long as you took pics!

OK! but beware, we are a crazy bunch. Send cash, we'll get the alcohol and set up the funniest home video camera! Oh, this is going to be embarrassing!

Re: High in the Sierra Nevada mountains .....

I love Lake Tahoe in the winter! We used to ski there. We haven't been skiing since my husband had his knee replaced 12 years ago.

We went to Lake Tahoe in June. I'd never been there in the summer. It was beautiful, but not as beautiful as the winter time and all the snow. Actually, June is not a good time to go with all the road work going on and hotels and timeshares making annual repairs from the winter wear.

We actually thought of retiring there, but got our senses back (after all, we're in San Diego). Our daughter and her family live in Red Bluff, CA, and our son and his family in the Bay area, so Lake Tahoe would be a good "in between" place. But, we have another son and grandkids here in San Diego.

Here in TX the leaves are just beginning to turn colors

I haven't seen this since I was too young to remember it. Where we were in CA it took all of 2 days for the leaves to turn from green to brown (nothing in between) and fall off of the trees. I'm going on a drive sometime this weekend just to see the trees in the area turning colors. Oh and there's 100 times more trees here, it's just beautiful.

Now here's a funny. Last year in CA just as it turned cold I kid you not, the neighbor across the street went outside and got on a ladder. He proceeded to hand pull the leaves off of the tree in his front yard. He got 2/3 around the tree about 20 feet up. This took him 2 days to do. The leaves were still green. On the 2nd night it got real cold and on the morning of day 3 a breeze kicked up and blew the rest of the leaves off of the tree all over his yard. I just about died laughing.

Re: Oh Poppy you are sadly mistaken, we indeed have four

seasons in Lake Arrowhead, CA as we do in many other mt. communities and the beauty is to die for. Allow me to send you some photos, the tones of fall are everywhere.....no question about it......
