BGC & Integrated

Integrated is stating that you do not have to join NNA for a background check. It can be done internally with them. Check thelink below

Charles, I doubt that it will get that far (feds) that action is taken because I predict it will stop before that.

I think we are going to see a new face on this from the XXX. I think they are "reading" a reality check to make them see they have to consider offering CBC without certification, et al, to make this work. I even look for a letter to say they did not mean to mislead...IF THEY DID, of course. Not saying they did...we'll leave that up to their lawyers.

You might qualify for the $50 fee they offer for signings.

ILS - $50 fees? I get much more than that. Is that all they offer?

P. S. I have been working pretty steady for them for the past two years and haven't heard anything about the BGC yet...did anyone else get anything?

There is no indication that this statement on their site was added after all the protestations. The TC's may have had that option all along. Also, I have had no direct communications that I must go through the NNA directly from them.
My information on all this is from this site, from conversations with the NNA reps (who said the NNA had contracts with these companies) and cc's of emails from others. Trying to get some answers from the NNA on certain aspects of this is impossible. Such as our privacy issues, is impossible.
We have the option of choosing whether to work with the middle men (or not) in the form of what SS we will work for and what services work for us as individuals. Improvement, self monitoring, peer monitoring, education etc are all part of running a competative business. So if BGC is part of the industry, there is no question that we must do that. That is apparent from all the conversations here.
No one objects to the BGC. But to imply that it is only available from one source, to do it or lose the business of the major underwriters is an anti trust issue that needs to be looked at. This would be the equivalent of saying that we must sign for SOX exclusively. We would only hope to get a return on our investment of time and money. Given that SOX has a track record of poor return and seemingly unethical behavior we would not do it. The same goes for the NNA. Its a forced association whether we believe in the benefits of membership or not. Whether we believe in their tactics or not. That my freinds is the crux of all this.
I appreciate that my tax dollars are being used to look at this. This has ramifications far beyond us.
