Cheapo companies

Had a call from a company we all know. Overnight docs, very small package, close by, during the day, ok I'll do it for the offered fee.

I get the docs and see that on the application it says the bwr is married, but the mortgage says he's an unmarried man. I call the lender, they verify that he's married, and email me a new mortgage, TIL and RTC. I email the entity who hired me, requesting $20 additional for the 38 pages of edocs. They actually called me back to beg me to take only $15, saying it wasn't even an entire package, it was just a few pages....

Can you believe this stuff...for five dollars? I told the caller that his company had gotten so cheap lately, and that if it wasn't for me discovering that the guy was married they would have had to send another notary out a few days later with new docs for a whole new fee. I said the $20 was a small price to pay for me helping them out. I didn't back down and he finally agreed to email me a new confirmation with the $20 edoc fee added in.
