Dead-Beat Signing Company

Anyone have any advice on how to get paid from a signing company who fails to remit? I'm trying to get paid for a job I did back in July.. they more or less ignore my inquiries on status, and don't return my phone calls.

I have tried threatening them with BBB, but they don't seem too concerned. Also told them I would be invoicing their client directly if I did not receive pay, which also has resulted in a deaf ear.

Any ideas on how to get paid from a dead-beat?

Re: which company?

ON THE X (see Signing Central).. They are called SIGN ON THE X.

I did job in May, and got paid in August (had to bug them for it)
I did job in June, and got paid in September (had to bug them for it again)
I did job in July, and have YET to see payment.

Compose a letter addressed to your SOS with cc to whichever bureau licenses businesses, the TC , the lender and the BBB. Do not ask for help in collecting, just write a letter detailing the circumstances and your chagrin that these kinds of business practices are tolerated by those entities. Fax the letter to the SS with an attached note advising them that the letter will be mailed on Nov XX, 2006 if payment is not received by that date. It should work. If not, do mail the letter and put those agencies on alert about the SS poor business practices.

Re: ANDREA.....

Andrea,

I am going through the same thing. I would file and let them know that you did so. I did and I am hoping to get my $$ next week..

Good luck!!

The ONLY way they pay is www.labbb.com
File the report, give all essentials factually, brace yourself to be called a liar when SOX responds to bbb, then run to the bank whern check arrives in 7-10 days, deposit it, take your name off their database to eliminate possibility of being called at 1pm.
Do it NOW!
This worked for me and 3 other notaries I know who did the same thing. They don't like us so there is no sense in liking them. Protect yourself.
Do it NOW - don't waste time.
