Elynx printing problem...
I've searched and not found an answer to my particular problem. I've tried the elynx brief and not very helpful manual. I've contacted the title co and they didn't know. I've emailed elynx tech support and they've not answered at least not yet. It's been over 24hrs. (I had to print the docs on all legal (with permission from title) but I would like to figure out the problem and hopefully correct it for next time. I'm sure they weren't too happy with me not being able to work out this issue on my own.... Talk about a confidence buster...
So I'm hoping someone here has had a similar problem or at least can tell me that it's not my printer. I'm having a panic attack... Problem: Not able to print letter/legal combination. (only with elynx, I've not had this problem before) I print letter/legal combo files all the time with no issues. Tried to run a test through the built in elynx config/web post printer. Test did not work legals printed on letter.
The package goes straight to the printer and you can't as far as I can tell fiddle with the settings.
I have a brother MFC 8840D. (I would greatly appreciate any advice anyone has to offer, since I'm completely perplexed) Thanks! Poppy

Perhaps someone else has better information, but my experience with elynx has been the same. I print all my elynx docs on legal w/o issue. Never been a problem for the hiring entity. I have a Bro HL 5140. It may be due to Bro only being plc compliant. You may want to do a search on it.

Does that for me also on my 8440 and 8870DW. I have since printed them on legal, never had a complaint. There are some notaries that print everything on legal.

Darn.. Thanks! Although, I hate to hear it. I appreciate
the response. Glad to hear you've never had an issue with printing on all legal (for elynx packages) Hopefully it won't be an issue for me on this one. I've never worked with this company before and I hate to have an issue on the first signing for them...
Thanks again! Poppy

If I forget that I need to change the paper tray to legal and accidently print everything on letter, I reprint on legal, but use the letter size from the one package and the legal from the other to make a package with the right size paper. Little more time, but they get what they want. Trust me, borrowers copies are legal.

Shoot Kate... Since the file goes straight to the printer
and I've never had that issue I didn't realize there was a problem until after the whole package printed...
I then printed the whole package again on legal... I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF YOUR IDEA, I must be getting old sometimes the dots just don't connect as well as they used to. I had the whole file there in letter and legal and used the all legal...... Arhhh.... Thanks for the good common sense advice... I appreciate it.... "smiles" Poppy

You might want to call technical support at 1.800.905.0939 and actually speaking with someone who may be able to walk you through some setting issue. I found them very helpful. I haven't had this problem but I have an HP1320 TN. Good Luck.

Re: Have you tried...
.... copying the file to your desktop & then printing the document(s) from there? I remember having the same problem w/Elynx & my Brother MFC-8840D but I only vaguely remember the solution I found & that may it. It's worth a try.

Re: Elynx printing problem...Poppy my suggestion would be
call the tech, there should a number on the elynx file, they usual answer right away. The tech can actual send the file in another format to you and this is a common occurance with Brother printers.

Did you print using Raw PCL or Windows Driver? Almost all MFC are non-pcl compliant so using windows driver may solve your problem.

Ndwa. You lost me a little there... I'll research using
the windows driver and give it a try as well... Thanks for your help... Poppy

I'll give that a try LkArrowhd.. Do you know what the issue
is with the brother printer? I bought this brother because is was 100% pcl6 compatable.. Not sure if or why that would have anything to do with it.... Maybe it's a separate brother printing problem...
