I read with interest a post by Paul (PAW) about how the FL SOS looks after those Notaries that misbehave. I wonder if they look after those SSs that don't pay their Notaries. Executive Closings took me for a signing because I was unable to look up their payment record. Their phones all go to voice mail and no response to FAX or Email. Since I'm in VA, it makes little sense to try small claims court. Any ideas? I'd send Guido down there, but he drinks a lot and his bar bill would eat up my lousy $125.

and keep adding the confirmation page from the last fax to the new fax so that their toner use grows exponentially (hoping they don't have an efax)... you'll get their attention soon.
On the email side, attach a couple files (pictures of something or just your invoice) so it makes a nice lump in their inbox... then send it 4 times a day... you can automate that task.
Yep, it's guerilla warfare... you gotta make it easier to pay you than not.

The Notary Division (Executive Office of the Governor and SOS) probably would not do anything as issues with signing services are just that, a business issue, not a failure of notary to comply with notarial practices as described in the FL statutes and Gov's Manual. So, unless someone files a complaint against a notary for a notarial issue, the SOS will more than likely reject the request.
When it comes to unethical or illegal business practices, the business route must be taken, e.g. Attorney General, Dept of Financial Regulation, Dept of Corporations, etc.
