HP 1320

I have trouble printing large pdf files. It takes foreever to print anymore than 50 pages at one time. Does anyone else have the 1320 or know what the problem could be. Could it be my computer?

Don't know for sure, but I was told ( I have 1320 tn ) that it is slow because of the "way it was sent". ??? Does that make sense? ( I am obviously not a "techie".

Increase your memory. I did mine, cost about $40 and have had no problems with big files since.

I have a 1320 tn and had...have the same issues with slow printing. Some large files would print fast & some would take forever. I added some memory to both my computer & printer and that helped a little BUT what helped the most was that I was using Acrobat 7.2 (or the most current version) which I found out created some printing conflicts. So I removed the newer program and loaded the older version 6.0. And I have not had any problems.
However; when a certain SS sends me a file it will still print slower so how they scan the file makes a differance on how fast it prints.

MEMORY MEMORY MEMORY

The printer you have purchased came with 16M of memory, but if you are running windows XP, 11M of this is chewed up by the processing requirements of this Bill Gates memory hawg. Maximize your memory, ensure you have PCL 5e as your printer of choice, and you'll have no further problems. I regularly print .pdf files larger than 250 pages with lightning fast results, sometimes even faster than the rated 22ppm of the machine. I guess you can say my printer is now on steroids...
