IE Version 7 - fyi
I had a client call me and say that when he goes to my website he gets a prompting message that says
Do you want this webpage to access your Clipboard? If you allow this the webpage can access your clipboard and read information that you've cut or copied lately
What a pain!! It pops up everytime a page is accessed. Sure doesn't make your website "user friendly" looking
After much frustration and googling, here is a solution - but it's up to the user to decide if they want to do it or not.
Change Tools : Internet Options : Security : Custom level : Scripting : Allow programmatic clipboard access from Prompt to Enable

You may have more problems than that . I visited your site using the Firefox browser, and it seems to cut off part of the text; your home page starts off by saying that "vices are also available at the office of...." I know that's not what you meant to say, but I did get a giggle out of it...
You might want to review your web site to make sure it's browser neutral and doesn't use Microsoft-specific features.

How do you make sure a website is browser neutral? I'm using
Front Page to create it. Since Front Page is a Microsoft program, does that mean it is IE dependent?
By the way, "vices available at the office.." hahahahahha - love it!!

FrontPage is VERY Micro$oft!
It uses and propagates way to much IE-dependent crap. Once you've created your Pages, edit them. Better yet (if you're not familiar with HTML), use a tool that is not geared to one browser.
Your Site is missing a lot of graphics, at least when I accessed it.

Re: How do you make sure a website is browser neutral? I'm u
Front Page is notorious for creating Web pages that look fine in IE but not so good with other browsers. Sometimes it's non-standard HTML that only IE supports (Microsoft arrogance), sometimes it's a simple tag error that IE forgives but other browsers don't.
You can try running your code through an HTML checker - there's a free one available at http://www.netmechanic.com/cobrands/zd_dev - or just try viewing it with a different browser to see what it looks like through different eyes. The latest version of Firefox may render the page properly; I haven't upgraded yet, and the chances are that your potential customers may not have upgraded their browsers either.
Back in my past life as a "propeller-head", we were always told to code the visual stuff for the lowest common denominator - never assume that the people who will be seeing the screens have the same equipment as the people developing them. Same goes for Web development; you can have a great visual design, but it doesn't help you much if your potential customers can't see it properly.

It's in beta and I've test drove it. It will not allow you to view docs from DynamicDox and other things. You should automatically fall back to IE6 if 7 is unstalled.

Firefox !!
Especially the faster and more reliable version 2. It has a lot of nice features and isn't as prone to hacking as IE. Besides that, I can't use IE7 because my desktops are all Win2K.

Re: Firefox !! Thanks PAW Firefox rocks!
I have bounced around with browsers for more years than I care tothink about. I kind of settled on two IE and Netscape. Netwcape got to be too much trouble several years back so I wnet back to IE but Firefox is quick and very intuitive. I don't know if they still have issues with some sites but I';ve been playing with it this morning and I have yet to find as site it doesn't display properly. Now if I could only find a replacement for MS Outlook. Microsoft is getting real klunky, I guess its time for new blood.

Got yer answer...
Replace Outlook with Thunderbird... I had some outlook issues with gmail, switched to Thunderbird, all better.
And it has all the Outlook features I need
And it's free.
Don't get much better than that.

Re: Firefox !! Thanks PAW Firefox rocks!
Last time I took my PC to the computer geek who I've been using for PC maintenance, he loaded Firefox as the default browser. I wasn't able to use dynamic dox with it and at least one other print utility (don't remember). I had to paste the link into IE to run it. It was a localized pain... I've been thinking of removing it altogether. Am I missing something? Could it have something to do with the settings? I know very little about it. TIA
