I love my Michigan colleagues (shameless plug)

Man, I'm chatty tonight. Anyway, I'm reading some of these posts, and I'm shaking my head at some of the things I've read. But you know, the Michigan ladies just rock. Dorothy, Renee, Julie, Pamela (PMJ), Carole, etc. (sorry if I missed someone) You guys are so freaking on the ball. I'm just so proud (sniff sniff). I love the way you all handle yourselves, I love the fact that you all obviously take the time to learn our craft, you're all articulate, and you all seem to love what you do (as do I). I always find myself nodding in agreement when I read your posts. Ok, when it's a slow week my evil twin might sort of wish you were a little less on the ball, but I quickly shove him back in the closet. You lift the standards of our industry. Thank you. And Goooooo Tigers!

I wondered where my Sweetest Day card was ...

=) Alex, you are a dear. I just LOVE having YOU as my PRIME COMPETITION, you sure make the 'game' fun, fair, clean, intellectually challenging and (sniff) fuzzy. The best part is when you have such an awesome competitor such as yourself, it's all win/win baby.

Fuzzy?

Michigan colleagues (shameless plug) - Alex an' y'all

I have also noticed that there's a shortage of blank stares in Michigan.

When you start networking and associating yourself with others this is really appreciated. I appreciate my Tx people, most of whom read often but post little. They work almost exactly like I do. We all "click."

The fact that this is not rocket science (if someone will apply themselves to learn the ropes) is what makes it all the more heartbreaking when people don't do the basic studying necessary to do the actual job well.

BTW, two of my favorite people are from Luddington...a couple of brothers one transplanted to Texas and one to San Diego, but they are/were both sharp businessmen...one died year before last in a small plane crash in my home county. Great people.

a shortage of blank stares - our new State motto!!

You can turn a phrase better than anyone I know!

The irony is ... in MI, everyone would just think something happened to all the deer?

I'm not anywhere near MI but I have a Doe that comes

around everyday for a visit. The dogs raise heck but she just stares them down. ( of course they are behind a fence) LOL

Careful with your dogs Beverly, do you have any idea how

vicious deer can be. I have a herd of deer out in my field and now that the remaining apples are starting to fall off the trees I've have deer all over the place. My dog just kind of stays on the deck and watches. When my dog was just a pup she was snuffing around in the tall grass one day and a doe popped up and attacked her, broke her hind leg in three places and then came after me. I usually carry a sidearm and a couple of shots in the ground and the deer decided to move on. It appears that the doe had a couple of fawns hiding in the grass. MY dog gives deer a very wide berth now. I enjoy watching them and this year a truly magnificent buck has joined them, this guy is huge and has this regal bearing.
