I hear you. I had three tonight. 4,6 and 8 all within 20 minutes of each other, but in a different county than me. Had all the docs and everything, thinking to myself, life is great. Then, the 6 called me when I was on my way to the 4 and said docs were wrong, Mr. doesn't want to give cash at close, can I send you new docs? "Sorry, I'm already gone. All I can do is see if I can do the 8 at 6 (they wanted it at 5, but I couldn't do it at 5) and go home, but that will make me late." She says ok, let me check, comes back and says OK that's great, we can do that, I bumped your fee $25. I say "Um, no that's not going to work for me, I have to drive all the way home, print and come all the way back down here." She says I'll have to get that approved. Calls me back and doubles that, I say ok. I didn't get home until 11. What a night!

I just hope this work horse month is not an indication of a slower holiday season this year. I keep thinking people are getting this done now, so they can concentrate on the Christmas holiday season.

I had a cash purchase, buyer side only, that took 2 1/2 hours and a HELOC that took 20 minutes! When I got to cash closing, most of the docs that I had, which has been overnighted to the real estate office, were for another borrower. What docs I did have for this closing, the buyer's name was misspelled. I call the TC and they are going to email new docs to the office. After the email finally comes, the office manger can't print the docs! They have been having "computer problems". So, she finally gets them to start printing and the HUD comes in with the top cut off. I couldn't believe my luck on this one....and to top it off - the buyers, their parents and the Realtor were all carrying on a converation in Spanish. I, of course, only speak English. This was a very small office and we were in the only conference room they had so there was nowhere to go. One like this certainly makes you appreciate the smooth ones.
