Sad thing is, every one of those fraudulent mortgages is being notarized by someone...

I do not know the notary laws in other states, but
in California, a real estate agent (or broker), loan officer
(or broker) etc. . .who is also a notary, can legally notarized
their own *documents.

*(Note: Meaning "work-related" transactions,
not personal documents.)
