NJ Attorney acting as notary
I'm informed that a licensed NJ Attorney can act as a notary, even without a stamp. Can anyone confirm this?

A N.J. lawyer is an ex-officio notary and can take acknowledgements, administer oaths. for complete list of notorial duties refer to notary public handbook a guide to New Jersey by alfred piombino

When I did mail a ways to NJ we always instructed the borrowers and their attorney to use a commissioned Notary to notarize the docs. From what I understand, NJ attys can act as Notaries Public, however FL will not record docs w/o a notary seal and NJ attys are not commissioned Notaries but can "do" everything a commissioned NJ Notary can do.
Did that make sense?
