OT: CA Fires in Riverside County

I'm waiting up tonight to hear of the "Esperanza" Fire in Cabazon....Riverside County. So far, 4 Firefighters have died trying to save homes.

It's important to me because when my son did his original fire training in the SB Mountains, the Forest Service Firefighters and CDF (California Dept. of Forestry) were huge in training him. Many of his high school friends are in those departments.

We suspect we might know the fallen Firefighters and are checking the news services and making personal calls, and it's just awful....terrible to know that I might know one of these young men who died to save someone's property.

If you get a moment? Please say a prayer. These are young/middle aged men with families who died to save something they didn't own, but others did. They should be our Hero's and Role models. Thanks for reading this and considering my request. Bless you all.

They say it was arson - I hope they catch whoever started it and charge them with the murders of the 4 firefighters.

I did a signing in Moreno Valley late this afternoon. You can clearly see that the fire is huge. I can see the smoke from my house and I live on the outskirts of Riverside near Corona. I also know a fire fighter in the San Diego area. I have a bad feeling it was probbly the same person who set the fires in the area 3 years ago. The timing is just too weird.

I hope you get good news and I'll say a prayer tonight for all the fire fighters, their families and all the people in the area.
