OT Computer help
I know there are a lot of computer geniuses in here and I was wondering if you could help me. I just picked up a disk of pictures at Walgreens and when I go to copy to computer, it tells me the CD Rom drive is open. It is not open, anyone have any ideas as to why this message is coming up? TIA

It (the computer) may not be sensing that the drawer is actually closing. Insert another CD and see if it works properly.

Yes it's reading the music CDs just fine. I called Walgreens and she said the disc may have not have scanned properly, but I don't know how that would have anything to do with it. Odd. Thanks for the suggestion.

Check to see if you can read a different CD... if you can, the CD is bad
If you can't there could be several reasons... but a CD ROM is so cheap I'd be inclined to replace it without much troubleshooting.

Thanks Gary, yes it works with regular CDs, I'll see if it will work if I get a new CD from Walgreens.
