Re: Thank you Mr. Broadbooks and..................
What a thrill for you, Julie!
I was in Atlanta (at the game) when the Braves clinched the division in 1991. I was there with my father and he is a huge Dodgers fan, but he was happy to be where he was when the Dodgers lost and the Braves clinched. It's a good feeling, isn't it?
Go Detroit!!!!! :0

A re-match would be THE COOLEST thing!
We BOTH teared up watching last night - at the aftermath, at the outpouring of pure bliss out on the field.
I'm not much for sports, but ... sometimes it's more than a sporting event. I remember '68, my dad was about to explode or implode or something along those lines, threw us all in the car and we drove downtown ... drove until we got close to d/t anyway, and then it was a parking lot, a sea of people getting out of their cars (in equal states of explosion/implosion) hugging, yelling, crying, whooping, ticker tape (remember that stuff?) EVERYWHERE. It was particularly renewing because it was '68, which comes right after '67, which was an entirely opposite environment. It was quite a thing to experience.
Anyway ... I said yesterday to my husband that if it was a re-match, it would be a sort of cool thing, in the event that we didn't win. I'm not thinking he agrees.
