Pen for elderly + those with arthritis

Between non-loan work and reverse mortgages, I do a lot of work with the elderly.

I finally found a pen that is easy for almost all of them to hold and manipulate: Pen Again.

Both black and blue refills are available. The other arthritis-friendly pens I found had black ink only which is not acceptable in my state.

The pen sells for around $4-$5 and is refillable. I found it at a stationery shop.

Laura - great idea. I have seen these at Walmart for around the same price. The only problem with a great pen like that is that the borrowers often like pens that I purchase and ask for them. At $4.99 that makes for a pricey give away. I hate saying no.

Bic Velocity Gel Pens

Are great for people with arthritis and wrist hand problems. I've had 2 failed wrist surgeries, so writing is actually very painful for me. The more I sign my name, the worse it gets, and driving doesn't help either. I picked a great profession! I spent 3 years looking for the pen that made my life easiest, and at work, every time we'd order supplies, I'd have them buy a different box of pens for me. I found these, and finally stopped looking. The Bic Velocity Gel Pens write very easy, and I get tons of compliments on the pens. I did a closing for a man with arthritis so bad his hands were now deformed, and he asked if he could keep a pen. I buy a couple boxes everytime I order supplies, because so many people ask to keep a pen.
