QUESTION
When you do a signing for ONE co. and then a DIFFERENT co. calls to ask you to do a signing for the SAME borrower, is it WRONG to tell the 2nd co. that you already did one for the borrowers before?

It might be that it's a redraw. Without more detail, it would be hard to say.

Why bother? I've done 2 signings for different banks thru different co's on the same day for the same borrower...back to back. Twice. And both were legit. I've been to a few people's homes so many times, the kids think I'm family.

I mention it sometimes but its more of a reassurance type thing like "Oh, yes I have closed with them before, they're nice people" etc. Like one time I got a call to fo a reverse mortgage and the company was concerned because the couple was very elderly. So, they were relieved when I said "Don't worry, I closed with them once before, so they will be familiar with me and I will take my time with them, they are a sweet couple". The rep breathed a sigh of relief and said "Oh good, I was worried about them". I have a few borrowers I have closed with more than once. It is pretty common especially if you are in a smaller area.
