I think my White Sox mourning buddy Bob is referring to the fact that this one of the federal holidays that flies under the radar, like Veterans Day/Presidents Day.

Roger is correct by what I meant by "steath" and , unfortunately, also by
what he meant by "mourning"
The good news , is the Bears seem to be capable of taking it
all the way this year. No harm in wishing.
With apologies to Paul , as not being technically, correct, a useful
rule of thumb for recissions day, is that the day counts if the post office delivers
mail. We have a lot of branch banks here, located in supermarkets and open of Sunday.
Go Bears, and in defference to Roger , Go Buckeyes, ( My son-in law, who
bleeds Michigan Blue, would kill me if he knew that I said that.
