SOX, ANOTHER ISSUE
I called SOX about 10 times before Brandy, AP got on the phone. She scream at me stating that I did not fax back required documents. At this point, three months later..... my fax does not hold records that long and my long distance provider (verizon) does not keep records because it's the Freedom plan. Anybody else have this problem or any suggestions to prove I did fax back the required docs? Thanks!!

I have my fax machine to print a report after EVERY fax I send. I always include the report as part of my records.
Easiest thing to do really is to NEVER EVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES work for sox. They should change their name from SOX to SUX.
Good luck to you.

Go on line to Sox Signing Solutions and submit all of your invoices onto their website and it will automatically send you a confirmation. You can use this as proof that you submitted your invoices to her. As Jersey Boy stated "NEVER" do another closing for this company, I know I won't and they continue to call me.

My Fax machine has a history. It can be printed out. See if yours has that as well. That is proof of all the times that you faxed them.

Why do people persist in working for SOX ???
Do they like "living dangerously" , like wasting their time with bad news companies ? No one and I mean no one has ever gotten such bad press as SOX. So why do people keep working for them ? Good Grief

Re: Why do people persist in working for SOX ???
Ahahahahaha... Because they are very clever, Teddog. I have been doing this for 12 years... and even worked for SOX when they were a good co. They use different names, block their name/# from showing on CID, send the CO really late so you can't get hold of someone to un-accept...& the docs appear on your doorstep the next day. They got me. Signing for a neighbor & I didn't want to work the neighbor over, so did it & documented the daylights out of what I did to get paid. Still had to file a BBB complaint...which seems to be the only way they pay anyone. They lie about everything, never return phone calls, never pay. If you got caught, just file a BBB complaint.

"send the CO really late so you can't get hold of someone to un-accept...& the docs appear on your doorstep the next day"
This is the part I never understand. If I were in this situation I wouldn't care whether I got a hold of somebody or not. I'd leave a message saying that I'm not doing the signing and that the docs will be outside my front door if they want to send somebody to go pick them up.
Why people feel "trapped" into doing closings that they know they're not going to get paid for is really beyond me. That's just horrible business sense.

I have my fax set up to print a report every Monday afternoon with all faxes sent and received the previous week. I file each report. That way if there is an issue, I can just send a copy of it to the SS (will all others covered) to show that I did, in fact, send it. Haven't had any problems since.
