Still trying to collect from
Still trying to collect from Loansigners. On his voicemail Chris says its a great day at Loansigners. Yeah, I guess it is with all the money he's raking in, at our expense. I called Bliss in Acct. on her cell phone to no avail. Her # (704)890-4866 if any other victims want to call to complain. I left a message telling her I never will do another signing for them.

Chris just called to inform me that he will never pay me. Oh, I think he will. He will not only pay me what he owes but will pay late fees and interest. Right now the total is $132.00 and climbing. He thinks he is so slick. He is nothing but a cheap crook. He is also jeopardizing the reputation of his clients that hire him, like mortgage/title companys. They are not innocent by any means because they are in bed with crooked signing services. Next step is Small claims court where I'll get a judgment against him. I used to be in the Judgment recovery business so I know how to collect. I've collected debts for many judgment holders. I belong to a network of Judgement collectors that would be more than happy to collect in California.

Why did Chris call you and what reason did he give you for non payment?

Well for starters, the loan didn't close due to the borrowers cancelling because they decided to go with a different company. I think that's primarily why Chris was dragging his feet about paying, even though Chris had said he pays for cancellation or no signs. They kept giving me the runaround, telling me the check was in the mail. So finally, I saw the writing on the wall and realized he had no intention of paying me. So, I started bugging them. Chris kept threatening me that if I didn't stop calling or faxing them that he wouldn't pay me. He was just looking for an excuse not to pay me. I guess I got his goat because this morning he called and said he's not going to pay me. So then I called Ace Mortgage who hired Loansigners. I had called them before and told them I hadn't been paid. That's what made Chris angry too. I told Steve at Ace Mortgage that Chris told me this morning, he wasn't going to pay me. Steve said Loansigners is supposed to pay me, then they Bill Ace Mortgage. So he checked with the manager and he said they will be sending me out a check today. So we'll see.

I got an email last nite saying he would pay eventually. Who knows when. I paid to join this company and I am now getting no pay for 3 respa's in early August. That's it for me no more working for this company. He's making money off of us and where not evening getting paid, thats lousy. Just stinks that us notaries do all the work for him and can't even get paid.

Sandi, I know. It irks me too. What's more he charges $260.00 and pays us a measly $85 or $90. Don't let him get away with it. He's a low-life. Good luck.

By the way DD/OR I did a respa 2 months ago the guy didn't sign and get an email to today saying they are going to pay me for the trip. Just went to website and checked the invoice and have to wait another 30 or 60 days to get paid if I ever do.

Sandi, don't hold your breath. Chris told me that too. He said he pay for no signs, cancellations, etc. He's blowing smoke rings in the air in hopes that we'll believe his lies. Personally, I don't think he has enough capital to work with to pay his notaries. He is supposed to pay the notaries first and then bill his client. It takes capital to do that. I think he could possibly go to jail for what he is doing. We just have to notify the right agency. I heard that the mafia got into legal businesses. Now I know where they went.

Re: DD/OR
DD/OR... why are you worried about HIS policy regarding no-signs? Didn't you tell him up front what YOUR policy is regarding no-signs? I would write him off as a "bad debt" and move on with your business. Be sure to set your customers straight regarding YOUR policies.

Re: DD/OR
Why write off the debt? Its $ owed and it should be paid. Why is writting it off an option?
I sent a collection letter to the one and only SS that was draging their feet with me, and I got paid within a week. I did mention that as I am retired from the military that I had free legal services from JAG. Maybe that got his attention!

No Merry, I'm not writing him off. That's what the crooks want us to do. I'm complaining to BBB and the Financial Institution that oversees the Mortgage companys. The companys that hire these crooks are in bed with them. DD

Dear Dixie,
Guess why I know this is you even though you hide behind your initials on this board? Because you and you collection tactics are historical and memorable for me! You made yourself very well known to me and my clients didn't you?
You now hold the proud title of the ONLY notary in the history of my company that will never be paid for your services. So YES you are right. I remember my call to you well. I WILL NEVER PAY YOU.
You verbally threatened and harassed my staff, my clients and me. You attempted to wear out our equipment by faxing us repetively a black meaningless fax in an effort to burn out our toner and you scared Bliss my Sales Manager half the death with the foul and threatening language you used with her. She was ready to call the cops on you!
WHY? Because we were 50 days out on $85.00 to you! Hardly worth it.
Lucky for you, my client ended up paying you against my wishes.
You'll be pleased to know that thanks to you I am considering starting a bulletin board for signing companies to post warnings about notaries! Wouldn't that turn the tables?

Beware
I worked for a local signing company that did the same work for Ace. Same issue. You go to get the RESPA documents. Loan never passes underwriting. No fees generated. How do they pay the notaries? I got luck and cut my losses early with the local company. A couple other notaries were owed over a $1000 each had done several transactions in a month and then found out the money was not there. It put a huge bind on the signing company.
I would either avoid or be extremely cautious on this type of work. It is very speculative and the risk of not getting paid appears high!
