I haven't heard of "Udxdirect", however, if you search just UDX there is some past discussions.

I worked with them for 2 years and never a problem with fee or payment. Until 6 months ago or right after the big AMC lawsuit & shutdowns where their AMC volume dropped (my guess), I started getting $15 for a print job and $10 for travel (instead of 1/2 of agreed fee) without any notices of the changes. Meanwhile, their policy/contract with clients (on their website) stated that they charge full fee if the loan is recinded, cancelled, or that the notary has made a trip.
I talked to Tim & Meridith of UDX on the issue, but we didn't come to term.

So did they confirm with you that they do charge full fee if a trip was made? That seems like a really odd policy, to screw the notary even though they're getting their money.
I did plenty of work for them ages ago, until I decided that I wasn't dealing with Ameriquest anymore. Since that was most of their business it turned into just a couple of signings a year. But I've never had any payment problems, they send their checks out like clockwork.

Re: Udxdirect-Cali
They were somewhat speech less when I brought up the issue, but wouldn't admit to charging their clients such fee. I flat out told them I don't do business with anyone under that fee structure.

I had pretty much the same experience. Can't recall any problems except for the fact that it was Ameriquest docs nearly all the time. And then they cut their fees to the point where I felt it wasn't worth it for the lender headaches and big packages.
