WA notaries: fees we can charge are being raised
I spoke with the Department of Licensing office on Friday.
The official said that the fees we can charge for notarizing are going up around November 1.
She said to watch this website:

Re: What are WA fees currently Laura?
Basically, WA fees are around half of what can be charged in California.
The fee structure is a bit complicated because we have 8 different types of notarial certificates. The fees also relate to the number of signers. We charge separately for administering oaths.
The woman I spoke to told me what the fees would be. She said not to quote her but instead to look to the website for the final decisions. It sounds like our fees will be closer to approaching California's fees.
By the way, LkA Thanks for that magazine article you sent me. It was a fun trip down memory lane.
