Who is cdcformsprocessing.com? And why...

did they sign me up for their cheesy e-mail newsletter? I really hate it when companies harvest my e-mail address from here and start sending me newsletters that I've never signed up for. Tacky, unprofessional, and oh yeah, illegal.

The same company that sent me an unsolicited newsletter. I wish whoever is pulling information off the Notary sites would put me on their "Do Not Email" list. I know some of you will disagree but to me it is nothing more than SPAM.

Yep, I am getting it also. I hate the HUGE CDC at the top of it.

it's in my head but I can't access it ...

I swear, this came from someone who posted about a title co or something of that nature, and we signed up. I have the vaguest recollection (those are pretty much the only kind I ever have!) about getting to the website to sign up, and being a little baffled to find the website different than I expected from the post - and deciding to live life on the sharp edge, and signing up.

Now it would be really, really funny if this IS what happened, and none of us remember how we GOT to that site in the first place?!

Renee, we both must be having senior moments....

because I sort of remember it the same way. But, did any of you read the part about the cbc? I've pasted it here. My take is that their approach is a lot like Harry's (don't rush out and purchase the NNA's).

"Why do NSAs have to pay for the Background Check? The title companies are requiring the background check, why don't they pay for it? Can the NSA purchase the background check without certification? Are they willing to pay an increase fee for advance education now that we are certified? Another expense added and we are still being underpaid or not paid at all…

Until that can be established, we recommend that you think long and hard about forking over your money. And if it turns out that we actually do need to have our certification, then we should discuss all options so as to have the most cost efficient service available.

More to come…."

While I agree that an unsolicited "newsletter" - rate slick - classified ad forward - advertisement sent to PHISHED email addresses is the LOWEST of low life SPAM (get the hint, CDC????) there IS this at the bottom of the little email missive:

"If you do not wish to be included on our email list, please respond by email to [e-mail address]"

which, of course, makes it perfect legal to send and therefore 100% contemptuous.

Hi Alan are you busy this EOM?

Ahh, but the CAN Spam Act also requires that unsolicited commercial email be clearly identified as such. Making it look like I signed up for their newsletter certainly violates that in my estimation.

I have gotten on people's lists, but I've been fortunate to get work from lenders and signing services due to their soliciting. So it's a catch 22 - you don't want the spam but you do want the additional ducats.

As per cdform...- I did send them an email to inquire more about what they do and why I was getting a letter. Since then they've referred me to agencies near me in my state, NY. I even got referred to an agency in my count- VERY RARE. I was all to happy to learn of a ss in Brooklyn... LOL

Their newsletter is cheesy, I agree. Oh well, I guess we all have to hustle some how.

Just my 2 cents.

Savvy Brooklyn NYC Gal.
