Why I use this forum
Re message 1545652 The reason I post info regarding NNA is that I know their LAWYERS are watching US here. Sorry if I frighten some people in Calif. This email is not secret . It is an employee of the State of New Jersey responding to a matter of concern of a citizen. it is not privileged information. It only concerns NJ Notaries but is for your information. Perhaps the NNA lawyers can discuss this matter with our Atty. Gen.

I don't think you are scaring anyone here in CA, not me anyway. I believe what Title Gal was trying to get across, is in her opinion it might be better get this message across as one spokesperson speaking on behalf of an organized group. My personal opinion is that I'll contact the Pope if I have to.

John I believe it is up to each of the 50 Sovereign States of this Republic, we reside in, to look into the role of the Federal Govt. and/or the NNA in setting "Mandates" for state Notary Publics. Perhaps the NNA would like to see only FEDERAL Notarty Publics. p/s Still trying to find this mandate in federal law!!!

Well if find it let me know.... We sure as hell don't need any entity like the NNA dictating the rules, do we!

Re: Why I use this forum...oh puleeze spare me the drama
John was right about what I meant to say, with one distinction. Another member of this community also contacted the government about this issue but didn't post the name of the individual they contacted, so as not to cheapen the contact by many members of NR emailing them. Jlissem listed the name of his contact, as though it was a personal triumph, and that may in fact be a negative, if the posting of the name creates an avalanche of emails that could cheapen the issue.
Lisa Prestegard did a fine job of posting about this, without any anticipated glory. I suggest you do a search with her name, and you'll see how she handled the situation.....far better, and with more impact.
