Is that 592 just for 1 set of 1st/2nd docs (would be 1184 with borrower's copies)?
Or, is it 296 for 1 set of 1st/2nd docs (would be 592 with borrower's copies)?
That's a heck of alot if it's just one set!!!

It's crazy that the hiring party doesn't give a heads up on the number of pages. Someone along the line knows if it's a large package. With the right information you can price yourself better and budget your time.

Can you ask that the notary docs be done first so you can be on your way? I see no need for you to sit through the non-notary docs if the attorney is handling it.

There are so many companies we work for, we never know how many docs there sending, brokers docs. lenders docs. title docs. that don't tell us. You get the email.

I am not suggesting this is something fraudulent
The last time I had this many Loan documents to get signed was over 3 years ago and there were 4 loans and 2 brothers and a sister signed all the loans and they were all rental homes.
One suggestion: make sure you write the loan number of the 1st loan and when you get to the the 2nd loan also write down that loan number. Make sure there is a not a 3rd or 4th loan in this total of 592 loan docs.
This is truly a staggering number of loan documents to be signed by 2 people for a 1st & 2nd. I doubt if 2 people (in the U.S. ) have ever had to sign 592 pages of loan documents on a personal Home Purchase or a refinance for their home/or an equity home property.
Business commerical properties might be the signings here and I have only notarized a couple of these.
Maybe other Loan Signers have dealt with this number of pages and would care to comment and maybe the poster will clue all in when this signing is finished.
Enquiring Minds Want To Know!!
This is a very interesting signing to say the least!!

Sounds like a commercial package. That's not excessive for a commercial loan. However...we will have to wait for smart sandi to tell us more.

The largest I had was 516 including the borrowers copy, and I did go back to ask for more money and got it without any hassle at all.
