how inappropriate was that?...

I'm still in shock that Cherie Signing Service had the nerve to post on a NOTARY forum her version of education on how newbies are demanding her top dollar $65. e-doc fee?

Was that a joke?

Hey All:

I have been a member of Notary Rotary, but just started posting on the chat board. I've ready the thread on this topic.

I liked the way how you handled the discussion. We notary signing agents have to fight for our integrity, newbies and veterans alike.

It's funny how she changed her fee schedule, when all the while she spoke out of both sides of her mouth.

You caught the hater who ended up hating her own game. Go NSA's.

Well that's my 2 cents...

And, I love you for it. I LOVE NYC! Now, if I could just go visit rather than peep at my kid's pictures of it.

Re: BrendaTX....New York is Great!!

Coming from a small town, it was the most fantastic city I had ever seen. I went there about ten years ago, and still remember the kink I got in my neck from looking up all the time. The people, the beautiful architecture, the fashions, and lets not forget the food. I would recommend to anyone to at least visit once. You wont regret the experience. The funny part of this trip is when we first got there, I wouldnt leave my hotel room until I had a clear vision of exactly where we were going, I had my son with us who was I think eight at the time and I was very paranoid. But once I convinced myself it was OK, I couldnt get enough. And I dont care what other people say about New Yorkers, they were helpful and very nice.

Ms. Lisa:

Well you can stay in WI- just kidding LOL... NY hasn't changed but our city is a big target for terrorism... so in some parts like where the world trade was, it's swarming with SWAT, NYPD, and other officials. I used to work in that area a couple of years back and my heart jumped a beat every morning on my way to the work.

But NY is going to be the place to be, although it is now... the new Nets Stadium will be one attraction- but not only that- the real estate world will be KRAZY...

I almost left my beloved city to work in VA for a federal agency... but I could not due to family crises... Well it's cool because I have my business here and I am working on notary awareness and what not- sorry to say but Ignorance can be Bliss in certain areas of NYC... you'd be surprised how many of our communities just think notaries are almost non-existent and if one is ableto locate one, it's like striking gold. Honorable for but sad at the same time.

So I am here--- the Brooklyn Lady will stay on for a little while longer.

Its a great place to visit but I wouldnt want to live there. So you are very correct in saying I can stay in Wisconsin. I commend you for living there. I am real used to the small town security that I have here. Another funny part about visiting there was looking at what the other lady's were wearing and laughing at myself because I was sooo outdated. LOL.

Wow I forgot how NYC can be a sight for sore eyes. When you live here, it's one big rat race baby. So you begin to detest and resent NY for the crudeness... But then you fall in love with it all over again, as it makes you a survivor, able to survive anywhere in the Nation.

Texas- been to Houston for the Essence Festival this year for July 4th. One word "Humidity"

That is exactly how I felt about Chicago when I lived there. Now I'm a tourist and want to 'fit' everything in. The first thing my family expects is that I will need to eat at all my fav places, it's a joke. I have to 'see' downtown, have greek food, mexican, chinese and italian, polish and my 3 pizza puffs all squeezed into a week. I actually take the train up to Union Station to get myself sick on half a dozen real eggrolls....Everyone always puts on a few pounds after one of my trips up! How I miss home.

Rob absolutely loved NY. I cried when I saw his picture of Ground Zero. It brought it all home to me. Rob went with his dad and stepmom and his dad's 50th birthday last year.

My son/daughter-in-law to be are on the home page. It's their website. Stepsons and their wives, also. As a hobby, son Rob maintains family pictorial history there.

The redhaired baby girl is my great-niece. The older little girl and little boys are my stepson's boys - my grandsons/granddaughter.

We Texan's love our New York people. One thing 911 did was to bring us closer to you and to love you for all your strength, determination and grit.

Through the eyes of a tourist, your "land" is beautiful.

We New York people are a special case. LOL... Around the holidays, we get all warm like hot pudding... then when Jan. hits- we get hard again like a Carlito's Way scene- which was filmed in NY by the way LOL.

I am looking over the photos on the site... it has quite a few... I love family photos.

Thanks for the compliments of NY- but we do have some things that I abhor...

Hustlers- that will walk you 2 blocks before they can comprehend "NO" - I don't want your cd.
Angry Police Men

That dingbat came in and provided the noose, a target, the bow and arrows, and the hemlock with a cup and bendy straw. What did she get for it? Some excellent advice"interview those you hire". Kudos to Brenda for the way she handled it. But I don't think Cherie really got it. Stuff will happen even in the best of situations. If she didn't want to deal with the bad then she shouldn't have entered the business.

She has earned dingbat of the month for coming in here with a complain session directed at us as her first post.

Also she didn't amend her fees enough in my book.

I didn't want to enter into this fray but,

felt I had to speak my piece. Cherie, I too had visited your site some time back and didn't even sign up because I would have had to agree to the $50 fee. Sorry, those fees will only get you the brand new NSA's who haven't a CLUE about what they are doing. The new fees are better, but will propably only get you NSA's with maybe 50 loan signings under their belt and need to reach that magic 100 mark to start being about to command decent fees. This thread has reminded me of another one we had about a month ago, the poster was so overwhelmed with negative replies to his post and he kept trying and trying to justify his position (had NOTHING to do with Notary work, fees, Signing Agents, etc, completely OT). The thread went on for pages and pages. Finally, I told him that a good card player knows when to hold, knows when to fold, knows when to walk away and knows when to run.

Even by a signing agent whom I did business with, who (might I add) was happy with the negoiated fee.

So, you are right...I'm otta here....No matter what I say, they take it and run with it..Always looking to find fault in someone else...

This little *secret of survival* tip isn't going to help someone who looks at this entire thing with an attitude of *** "No matter what I say, they take it and run with it..Always looking to find fault in someone else..." ***

It always amazes me how people like this ever succeeded in opening signing services to begin with. If they EVER spent ANY time at all as an SA... and developed a PROFITABLE BUSINESS (keywords there) as an SA... these conversations would never even take place.

BTW... I like it when you say your piece... you do it so well!

What the h%^& are you talking about ethnic insinuations.

You came in and provided all the amo to get yourself fried. That is how DINGBAT applies to you. You basicly hung your own self, walked out onto the bow hunting range and handed the hunter everything he needed, and provided your own poison.

Then you don't listen to the excellent advice offered "interview those you hire". That is how DINGBAT applies to you.

"You have a choice". Do you have any idea how many notaries you have alientated by your complaining and lowballing. Yes $65 is a lowball fee. You made the choice easy for the sa. Speaking of choices you are the one who chose to become a ss. If you can't practice good business sence you are making the choice to use the same noose, target, bows and arrows, and hemlock on your business. You didn't learn when you lost a client. You aren't learning to listen to excellent advice. That is how DINGBAT applies to you.

Where ethnicity came in on this I have no idea. Do you even know what race I am? I don't know yours. Nor do I really care. DINGBAT'S come in all races. So to A$$ume anything while being completely ignorant of the facts is the action of a DINGBAT.

When the advice was given you didn't even acknowledge it

which showed that you were more concerned with other issues rather than the possibilty that you screwed up by hiring inexperienced sa's. Your complaint post was strike one. Your inability to acknowledge excellent advice is strike two. Your trying to bring ethnicity into a discussion that has nothing to do with ethnicity is strike three. In many a sa's book you are out. And it's all your own doing. You fried the last egg in your dozen.

Re: GIVE ME THE DEFINITION OF A DINGBAT AS IT APPLIES TO ME.....

**...As well as the other ethnic insinuations, like noose, a target, the bow and arrows, and the hemlock.**

Cherie - please do not turn this into something it is not. This is figurative speech. You came to the forum with a need to "teach" (and I get this from your remark that notaries should learn from your remarks).

While teaching, you hit many hot buttons with professional notaries. You see, this is our water cooler...if you want to enjoy the chat, you must consider who is standing around the cooler before giving a lecture on the behavior of those you'd like to link us with. We are not your problem. Your inexperienced contractors are.

You handed us the things to smack you around with (figurative speech: smack) because you said you lost a TC client from sending rotten workers out to do the job. This would be your noose to hang yourself with the water cooler group. The bow, arrows, hemlock are all tools used in methods of mayhem. (Figurative speech.)

This is not a discussion on ethnicity!

The figures of speech were to imply that you made your bed, now you are lying in it. (Figure of speech...we know you are not lying in bed.)

The best offense to stepping off into a fresh cow patty (figure of speech) is to stop discussing it. I should know. I have stepped in plenty-a patty.

This is both figurative and accurate as I have, indeed, stepped in cow patties throughout my life. They were plentiful in my childhood. I called them "green mud" and they made me scream and cry. They are really icky oozing up between your toes. I'd have to go wash them off in a water faucet...always half a mile away. I'd walk with much, much drama and loud wailing...making my way out of the cow pasture all the way up to my grandparent's house. Don't even bother to stop at the watering trough for obvious reasons. Pawpaw would dust my britches for that. (Figurative speech.)

Once cleaned up, I'd dry up my tears and stop the drama...back to skipping around the hay bales and sallying around the barn chasing puppies and kittens. Please consider this figurative story and do likewise. It's so much more enjoyable.

This is a forum of notaries that work hard and like to be paid well... your post started by saying we're overpaid and sloppy... DING

If you've read a thread or two you'd know that the general opinion of SS is that they're an extra middle man taking a large piece out of a shrinking pie. Now there are variations on that topic and there are levels of SS's, but that's the gist of 40% of the posts here... BAT

Cherie - here is a good example of Petard Problems.

FROM: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petard

The word remains in modern usage in the phrase to be hoist by one's own petard, which means "to be harmed by one's own plan to harm someone else" or "to fall in one's own trap". Shakespeare coined the now proverbial phrase in Hamlet.

The phrase is usually misquoted as "see the engineer hoist by his own petard" and is taken to mean "the hangman hanged with his own rope", or, as in Roadrunner cartoons, a rope, put out to catch something, entangles and hangs the one who set the trap, while the audience "sees" (watches) in amusement.

Hamlet's actual meaning is "cause the bomb maker to be blown into the air with his own bomb."

============
Hamlet's meaning is a perfect analogy.
