I just got three calls back to back for general notes today ! This had never happened before. Looks like I'll be making up for the $$$ we spent all weekend at the rock and mineral show downtown. Well, not really but....
It pays to advertise guys!

Unforunately the last one is a sad case, A P.I. called on his way up from Molbile and is taking statements from a boy's family tonight about molestation and it's his own Grandfather....how sick is that???

I am glad you answered. I was thinking the same thing and I don't see anything wrong with your post. It only goes to show that we are not only Signing Agents but Notaries and we do have to do other things that might be unpleasant. It is the real world as bad as it is.

Well, lets see Charles. What if a Notary was asked to do something like that for a member of your family, and then came to this board to comment on the nature of the act. Would you be so inklind to back that Notary when you saw them put it out here for all to see? We never know who will read what we say, thats all. It just rubbed me the wrong way. We are privvy to all kinds of personal information. I just think we should keep some things to ourselves.

Exactly, no names were mentioned. But...... This sounds like a criminal case, and Charm has commented on it in a Public Forum, with a link to her personal information. Perhaps law enforcement would not think highly of a Public Official commenting on a Criminal case they were involved in. Thats all. She should know better.

Hey Louise, I seriously doubt Charm is "chasing flamac down...". I'm sure, like most notaries, Charm is a member of many different sites and if you go board to board, you can't help but see FlaMac posting MIS-INFORMATION all over the internet. This is just my opinion.

This is a professional board for professional notaires to

talk about their profession. You should see what some of my doctor friends talk about, your doctor too, you wold be apalled but its in the context of the profession. Yes I would expect that others talk about thinkgs they run inot in the field.it seem to me that there are people here just looking to be offended and you obviously are one of them.

my quote was that your response to Charles about being a Realtor, etc..."almost made me gag." I don't think that is 'trashing you' and I was not in the least bit irate. You fail to point out the personal info that you accused me of sharing on a public forum. Your statement is untrue.
Also, my post started out talking about three gen acks in one day. I pointed out that the last one was an unfortunate one. I didn't feel like doing it because of the way I personally feel about this issue, but there IS an ugly side to this business, like it or not and you cannot close your eyes or ears over it.
I also signed divorce papers once for a couple in a parking lot surrounded by police. Not everything out there is peachy keen. I think I was unfairly jumped for my comment.

The other day I was doing an inspection of a newly vacated apartment and found a rather large box of gay porn, judging from the covers lots of fetish stuff, leather, Nazi uniforms, the lot. I dropped it off at the local rectory to provide them with a slight diversion from altar boys.

Gee, I guess I'm confused

Because when I read the forum guidelines, the first paragraph says: "It (this forum) was created to allow professional notaries public to share experiences." Golly, it sounds like the reason we're here. So, I must be reading that wrong. I think Harry meant to say, "only pleasant experiences," or "only experiences that do not offend anyone," or "only experiences that don't involve actual people" or "only experiences that K CA wants to hear about." Yeah, that's it. And I can see how this is personal information. I mean, a grandfather, somewhere in the state of Alabama, may or may not have molested a young child. Well darn, that must narrow it down to what, 4.5 million possibilities? Oh, the gall!

Charm did nothing wrong! As a Realtor, I hear other Realtors' stories and I have no clue who the people are. My attorney, who is one of my best friends, shares "scenarios" and I have no clue who she is talking about...and we run in the same circles. Gees, people need to lighten up - isn't this considered networking with people in the same profession?
