ot....

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, some are cracked and all are different colors but they all have to learn to live in the same box. my new motto

Re: ot....Exactly..

You get the 'gang' together ( or the mob )..and you throw all the disruptive crayons
into this contraption http://www.crayola.com/products/display.cfm?product=33 et voila ..
You have new and utile crayons again.

Re: ot....To further edify and amuse ..

Here is a timeline of colors. Notice how many colors were added and some were retired.
I am personally submitting the color 'CrustyIrascibleCantankerousCacogen' ( Its sort of a slime green )

Actually I never much cared for crayons especially the

bilious green ones. When I was a mere chiild and while other children my age were experimenting at burning ants with magnifying glasses I discovered flashpoint and it was so much more exciting. Pariticularly exciting was the the discovery that crayons flash at a much lower temperature than paper: a monster was born!

hahaaa....I remember the ol magnifying glass and waiting for half hour to start a stick on fire, of course, that was in Chicago. Back then we had to entertain ourselves outside, I was the champion of hopscoth and double dutch!

Re: yes, I spent hours stringing rubber bands!...

I bought one for my daughter for xmas and I can not remember how to do it. I tried once and got all tangled up. That was a sight. She thought it was hilarious though.

it's easy you jusy loop the band up and pull the other end thru. I loved that silly game, remember the string art around your fingers? Or the plastic bubble you blow out of a tube?

Re: or pet rocks and mood rings.......

yep...and laying in a bed spending the nite with my best friend while playing the hell out of Leon Russell's 45 record tune 'Lady Blue'...sigh, I was in love with someone that didn't know I existed. Ever warp a record?
I was in CO for a convention and danced with Terry Bradshaw . I had a red dress on and the song Lady in Red came on... He has some BIG feet lol, they were all over mine! Smile

Leader of the Pack. Over and over again. I used to cry at the end. That was when I was five. Never danced with anyone with big feet though, LOL

After mood rings came... self-locating key rings

Okay, so a decade later... you know, whistle and the thing beeps and you can find your keys.

Soooooo.... had a friend, mother of teenagers... who had kinda a high pitched voice anyway. When she would cream and scold her voice would hit notes high enough to set off the keyring.

So her kids dubbed it the "b!tch alert", ugly word but all in good fun...it was too funny, she laughed as hard as anyone
