Does anyone have their requests sent to their cell phone in a message format? I heard mortgagedocs.com does that but not sure how to set it up.

I have my email account forward a copy of all emails to my cell as a text message. I get the text about 30 seconds after the email is received. This really helps me to keep on top of things. Just make sure you have "unlimited" text messaging on your cell phone plan.

Are you talking about getting signing requests by text?

I have one company that does that. I hate it. If I'm in a signing and they call me, it takes 15 seconds of my time. They give me the time and date, I tell them if I can take the signing. If they text me, I have look at the text, write down the reference number, call them back, go thru the operator, hope they answer their phone, wait while they look up the file... 15 seconds turns into five minutes, and you can't do that when you're with another client. So when I get the text, I have to wait until I'm done with my current appointment, which usually means they've given away the appointment by the time I can call them back.

Hi Pierces. I have the text message arrangement with mortgagedocs.com. All you need to do if you are already a preferred notary with them is to give them your cell phone number and provider and they will set this up for you. .They will send you a signing offer and you can text them right back. It is a great setup. I highly recommend it.

that's what I was talking about - I'm not always in front of my computer when a request comes in and don't want to miss it.
